The great escape: Sydney in Winter

The best time to go on holiday depends on the seasons and the reasons. To escape from a dreadful climate. To escape from a task that you don’t want to do. To escape from boredom. To escape from the drudgery of an office job. To escape from a heartbreak. I don’t know about you. But I go on holiday to escape. Period.

Here are some of the photos I took during my escape to Sydney. Winter there is like summer in Wellington. The Bondi to Coogee Beach coastal sceneries are breathtaking!

A visit to weekend flea markets is also a must-do when on an escape mission. You’ll forget all your worries away. I spent three hours at the Rozelle Markets, browsing and haggling with vendors. Some stopped me to say that I looked famous with my big camera. =)

My escape to Sydney won’t be complete without catching up with my wonderful friends, M, A and P. A & P welcomed me with a delicious lunch that they prepared themselves. Here is a quick shot of A’s beetroot walnut goat cheese salad. P made the hummus.

Coming up next, Melbourne the third time around. I’m going back to Melbourne next month!
