Whittaker’s Classic Chocolate Cake
I was supposed to bake some brownies. I didn’t know what came into me that I baked a cake instead. I told myself I would never bake a cake, it’s too complicated. But I ate my words (pun intended) and was happy that I did.
This is an adaptation of Megan H’s Whittakers’ classic chocolate cake. I also used the new milk strawberry chocolate for the ganache. And pomegranate seeds to make it look pretty.

Merry Christmas everyone!

Thank you, Sandra! The cake is so moist that I keep it in the fridge so it doesn’t melt. Cold chocolate cake is nice!

I am not a ‘chocolate’ person but your cake looks really good. I especially like your last photo of the cake a really nice close-up! Merry Christmas!

Love your cake! I just made a chocolate cake too. I don’t use chocolate in baking too often, however, this was wonderful and I plan on putting it on the blog. The poms really added something special to your cake. Awwww.. so moist looking.
